PLC RedesignWe are redesigning the PLC meetings for the weeks before the Holiday Break. More information will be provided to grade level chairs today in a meeting after the staff meeting. From Coach Ms. LoweIn keeping up with our visible thinking routines that can be used to support student inquiry, I have included a link from PROJECT ZERO'S THIINKING ROUTINES TOOLBOX. Project Zero is a research center founded in 1967 that explores topics in education such as deep thinking, understanding, intelligence, creativity, and ethics. I encourage you all to consider using at least one of these routines in your classrooms, which can expand across age groups, disciplines, ideals, competencies, and populations. And, don't forget to share your experiences with others. 😊 https://pz.harvard.edu/thinking-routines PTA November Panda PressVirtual Fieldtrip AvailablePanda PonderShout OutsHappy Birthday to...Ms. Armstrong Sat. 11/14 Mr. Swindle Thurs. 11/19 Ms. Fannin Sun. 11/22 Ms. George Sun. 11/22 What's Happening This WeekGrade Level meetings this week with Principal Foster Monday 11/9
IB and MathLast Thursday during our IB meeting, we participated in a visible thinking routine, “I see, I think, I wonder.” Visible Thinking Routines loosely guide learners' thought processes and encourage active processing. Please click on the following link below to see how you can provide students with a structure and scaffold to support making connections in math, using knowledge effectively, and communicating ideas during problem solving. https://connectedmath.msu.edu/classroom/student-centered-classroom/making-thinking-visible/ Literacy |
