MAP Testing ScheduleRecess EquipmentAs you’re now aware, the PTA has installed new soccer goals on the field and delivered soccer balls to each grade level. We hope the kids are enjoying the new equipment so far! Thank you for your support in maintaining this equipment so we can use it for years to come. Please reference the attached guidelines. We also have more Penny Wars funds to spend on DURABLE recess equipment- please reach out to Katie Roberts ([email protected]) or me ([email protected]) if you have any suggestions! Thanks, Torrie Souther Parkside PTA Thursday Communication to FamiliesDevice DamageMany scholars are walking throughout the building with laptops open. This has led to many screens being damaged. Moving forward, we will have to input scholar damage fees. Please have discussions with your scholars on how to properly carry devices when taking them from class to class.

MAP Testing in ONE WeekMAP Testing starts next week. Friday is the Deadline to Create Your 2024 Spring MAP Assessment Please ensure you create your assessments on or before 3/8/2024. Don’t forget to assign the correct assessments. I will assign ALL K-3 MAP FLUENCY ASSESSMENTS. Please do not forget to assign accommodations for our scholars with an IEP or 504. (Remember, you must assign the test before you can assign the accommodations.) If you do not have your scholar's accommodations, please reach out to his or her case manager or Ms. Rogers. For those who need assistance creating assessments, please see the attached document. Testing schedule coming soon!! Week of 3/11- MAP Math and Reading Week of 3/18- MAP Fluency K-3 This is the most important MAP Assessment of the year! This assessment will outline the growth your scholars have made from Aug. 2023- Mar. 2024. Please have a meaningful discussion with them. Stress the importance of taking their time and utilizing scratch paper. The testing timeframe for the week of 3/11 is shorter due to our asynchronous day on March 12th. Attendance is super important during these two weeks. Please add an attendance incentive during this timeframe in your classes. We will also run a 10 to Win Initiative during this time. We have limited headphones but have some. Please reach out to me ASAP if you need a FEW replacements. GRADES in IC and Posting GRADES for Q3It's already time to end Q3 and start Q4, that means we are about to enter into the last 9 weeks of school. Q3 grades are due to be posted by Sunday evening- March 10th. FYI, if you duplicate an assignment but do not change the date, the assignment appears out-of-date. Make sure dates reflect the date you assigned/graded. The next grade check will be March 11th, checking for updated grades and posting of grades. Q2 report cards go home on Thursday, March 14th. This grading period must have updated health grades and HR IB learner profiles filled in. IXL Leaderboard and Display in RotundaMake sure you are tracking your leaders each week. Student enjoy seeing their names on the board in the rotunda and I have even seen parents and teachers take pictures of the board. Submit your students' names weekly. https://forms.gle/eWa9CQUnuGGFXUCfA Thursday Parent CommunicationTake a moment to peruse our Thursday Communication using the link below.
